The Lougheed House

It is a stunning mansion built in the 18th Century standing in a 2.8 acre estate and is now a historic site. It is more commonly known as Beaulieu Gardens as it is truly such a beautiful place to visit and capture moments like in a fairytale.

This botanical garden is the only indoor park of the city that is located in the heart of Calgary. Though this is considered a public park, sessions with professional photographers requires a permit and usually costs $150 per hour. A beautiful venue for the rainy or snowy days.
Reader Rock Garden
325 25th Ave. S.E. | Open from Sunrise to Sunset
Calgary’s first Legacy Park that was transformed from a hillside to an internationally acclaimed garden on the corner of 25th Avenue and Macleod Trail. The cafe offers a great reception venue that has a bride’s room perfect for pre, post and after wedding photo-ops.
Prince’s Is land Park
4th St. & 1st Avenue S.W. | 5:00AM to 10:00PM
This park is near the Peace Bridge which can be an additional stopover if not the reception venue. Prince’s Island Park is a great picnic area that has a great panoramic view of the city’s skyscrapers. It is located at 698 Eau Claire Ave SW of Calgary.
455 6th St SW | Sunrise to Sunset
This turn of the century building was the teacher’s college from 1908-1922, became a junior high then an elementary school and finally a government of Alberta building in 1987. The gardens and fountains are a beautiful backdrop to your photos.
Memorial Dr N.W. entering Bow River Pathway to Cross Eau Claire Park
Now known as one of the city icons, the pedestrian bridge attracts more and more people yearly and is becoming a favorite wedding photo stop offering a beautiful architectural design. This bridge accommodates pedestrians and cyclists crossing the Bow River.
Fish Creek Park & Bow Valley Ranche

The historic park & ranch have been restored to their splendor. Also a fantastic wedding venue, it is a beautiful site to do your photos and enjoy the grounds of this gorgeous ranch house.
12 Ave & 5 St SE | 5am-10pm
Built in 1894, these ruins are the site of what was once Calgary General Hospital. The sandstone pillars and some walls are all that is left of this historic site and a stunning park and backdrop for amazing photos.
