Boyd Entertainment

Boyd Entertainment is a small, local family-owned and operated business with 30+ years experience. They have played in Calgary’s largest nightclubs and have been featured at the Calgary Stampede for many years.

They provide a custom music consultation with couples to select songs that absolutely should or should not be played. With professional-grade, industry-standard gear, they can perform for a group as small as 25 or as large as 2000. Standard all-day wedding rate is $1295 however they do offer season specials throughout the year. A 30% deposit is required to secure any event. 

Fun Factory DJ Service

Fun Factory DJ Service comes with 30 years of experience and provided DJ services to over 1000 weddings. Covering all genres of music, they first meet with the soon-to-be-married couple to go over what songs to play for the big day.

The couple is then given an online request link for guests to access and submit music requests. Using professional DJ equipment, they provide service starting at $1050. A 50% deposit is required at the time of contract signing.

Outright Entertainment Inc

Outright Entertainment Inc is a fully insured, Calgary-based entertainment company and has performed at over 1000 weddings since 2010. They have won various awards including the Calgary Chamber of Commerce Customer Service Award, Wedding Wire awards, and have ranked in Calgary’s Top 3 DJs for five years consecutively. With professional equipment, they offer DJ services along with lighting, special effects and live performers. Rates start at $832 for a four-hour wedding dance and a $300 deposit is required to book.

Split Circuit Sound

Split Circuit Sound has been in business since 1989, with over 13,500 events done with approximately 50% of those being weddings. Their music library consists of over 65,000 song titles from every genre.

Couples are sent a DJ Wedding Worksheet to get all of the ‘must play’ and ‘must not play’ songs ready in advance. Using all high-end pro DJ gear, most packages average between $1000 – $1300. A 35% deposit is required when booking to secure your date.

Sounds Unlimited

Sounds Unlimited originated in 1972 and is one of the oldest and most established DJ businesses in Calgary. They have done thousands of weddings and cover all genres as they have a wide variety of DJs. Customers will receive music request forms to fill out to match you with the perfect DJ for your style. Using the highest standard PA gear, along with competitive pricing, Sounds Unlimited offers a professional experience with different packages to choose from. There are also custom packages available. 

Pez Productions

The CEO of Pez Productions, Fayyaz, has over 20 years experience and established Pez Productions in 2009. Some of his team members have been DJing for over 30 years. Specializing in all genres, they will learn any music they may not already know for your special day.

They start with extensive questionnaire forms for couples to fill out and then work with you to create the perfect vibe for your wedding day. Everything is done live with not premade playlists. They have a large range of equipment to cover any event, from standard DJ setup to high end, state of the art systems.

They also have LED dance floors and production lighting. Rates range from $800 – $2000 and a 50% deposit is required to book.

The District DJ

The District DJ, (formerly Velocity Entertainment) was founded in 2013 and services an average of 100 events per year. Based in Calgary, they service Alberta and interior of B.C, offering over 30 genres of music in a variety of languages.

They offer a complimentary coffee meeting with an event questionnaire and work with clients to ensure all the songs they want to be played at their wedding are included. Using only professional grade lighting and sound equipment, The District DJ will also Emcee your event at no extra cost. They strive to offer affordable rates, starting at $794 with only a $100 deposit required.
